Hyesu Lee

Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, she later studied illustration in the UK, earning a BA from the University of the Arts London, followed by an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Now based in Brooklyn, she works as an illustrator, artist, muralist, comic artist, and educator. Her work is driven by a curiosity about human connection—using drawing as a universal language to observe, understand, and connect with people.

She has collaborated with clients worldwide across brands, magazines, public murals, and packaging, guided by a belief that warmth and cheerfulness are contagious.
