Colombia coffee - Da Guo Fan

Drawing in a style that is natural, naïve, and playful, Cara Wang is a New York-based illustrator whose work captures the feeling and texture of everyday life with charm and curiosity.

Growing up in Guangzhou, China, her grandmother often took her wandering through the city by bus and bike. Through these small journeys, she developed an early fascination with crowds, food, streets, and the rhythms of urban life. That way of seeing the world, curious, sensory, and rooted in her experience growing up in Cantonese culture continues to shape how she observes and interprets the world today.

Her forms are quirky, her proportions and perspectives often improbable, but through characters, color, and texture, the emotions and stories of everyday moments come through.
